Hey JOTs the Shakedown is pretty damn impressive too - almost makes me wish I had gotten a second wind and took the train ride to MSG to try and scalp. Regardless I did go to Nassau (about a 40 min car ride) and was damn impressed. There was quite a bit of nostalgia factor as Nassau is 'my backyard' so to speak and I saw the GD there many times (not to mention the Islanders). Warren is getting in the groove and the band as a whole seems to be gelling pretty good, Warren's tentativeness could be related to the size shoes he is filling (lead guitar for the GD); and he seems to have quite a bit of respect for Jerry. Jeff is killing it on keys without being overbearing - in fact he is somewhat stealthy and adds quite a bit IMHO. I could think of worse ways to spend $100.

im a million miles away, so i wont be seeing any of the shows live, but im listening and i do like it

so far ive heard:
03-30(aud), very good, but slightly disoriented in space
04-12(aud), much better
04-14(sbd), excellent show, dark star > king solomons marbels > ... awesome combo. wish they would combine dark star w/ blues for allah
04-18(sbd) listening to it right now. ... terrapin > rhythm devils > space > days between... quite impresive. spaced out, smoke and fire show
04-19(sbd) comes next. ill check out msg tomorrow

the vocals seem to be the weakest segment of the sound

looks like the dead are making the best music on the planet right now (abb as well) and this makes me very happy

"04-12(aud), much better"

Hey fireeagle, the aud sounds much better than house sound did that night. I began to appreciate the show more after hearing what I could not hear "in house" at the G'boro Coliseum.

If they were playing in my town, ya I would go. I had a chance to see them a couple hours from where I live in Charlottesville but passed on it.

I listened to the show and while Warren sounds better in comparison to the others ( which aint that hard) I dont really dig his voice or sound. Would much rather see someone else like Kimock on guitar, but he doesn't sing so I can understand that wouldn't work so well.

Maybe some of the other shows have been great, personally I wasn't impressed by the second set of the Charlottesville show, which is the only one I have listened to.
